What Should You Do With Your Unsold Wholesale Handbags?

Let’s say you just finished selling the majority of your inventory of wholesale handbags, and you notice that you have 5 handbags left, what should you do with them?

Before I offer you any tips, I want to give you an important piece of advice that applies to the wholesale handbag business, as well as to any other type of wholesale business category.

You will always have items which for one reason or another you will not be able to sell. Therefore, you should always price your wholesale handbags with the assumption that you will have at least 5% of your items left after you have exhausted all sales options.

In other words, charge a high enough price per handbag so that you will cover the cost of the unsold items, and still make a decent profit.

So what should you do with your unsold inventory?

Tip #1

Run a raffle at your boutique and give the handbags away for free.

Tip #2

Give the handbags for free to the first 5 customers that walk in the door. This will encourage your customers to come to your store early in the day before they visit your competition.

Tip #3

Use the handbags as window displays to attract customers into your shop.

Tip #4
Take a chance and decorate the handbags with beads, paint, and other accessories. Even if you don’t sell them, they will make an excellent conversation piece for your customers.
